We struggle to find support groups designed to minister to those suffering from CHF. We ask if you know of a support group meeting in your area that you would let us know so that it may be posted in our Support Group area.

Tip for Low Sodium Sauces and Chilis - Tomato Puree

A great tip for making low sodium chili and pasta sauces is to use tomato puree instead of tomato sauce. Tomato puree is a bit thicker, EASILY available without all the sodium and cheaper too!  Almost every can you find of tomato puree will only be about 20mgs per serving on its sodium scale.

Balsamic Vinegrette

3/4 cup Water
1/4 cup Balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoons Capers (No Sodium)
1 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 1/2 teaspoons Dried basil
1 tablespoon Fresh parsley — chopped (opt)
—–PER TBLSPOON—–
25*mg sodium
Combine the ingredients. Adjust vinegar to taste, since it has a
strong flavor. Store in a covered container in the refrigerator. Makes
about 1 cup.

FOR A 8 OR 9 INCH TWO CRUST PIE
1 3/4c - Bread Flour NO SODIUM
